Altered hemodynamics by 4D flow MRI predict exercise intolerance in repaired coarctation of the aorta: an in vitro study
Aorta size mismatch is associated with decreased exercise capacity.
This study uses an in vitro flow pump to assess abnormal flow patterns in simulations of exercise in repaired CoA using 4D flow MRI to identify
biomarkers of exercise intolerance.
The result shows that WSS, Helicity, Vorticity is related to decreased exercise
capacity, important underlying mechanisms for exercise intolerance in patients with successful CoA repair and may serve as MRI biomarkers of efficient.
